RUBICON RIVER
The South Fork Rubicon River flows into the Middle Fork of the American River. The studied reach lies just below a diversion dam. The west side of the stream is heavily treed with Sugar Pine, Lodge Pole Pine, White Fir, Douglas Fir, and Cedar. Periodic releases of water to support recreational rafting on the middle fork of the American River, as well as pedestrian traffic from the adjacent campground are the major impacts on this stream.
