
| AMERICAN RIVER WATERSHED |
| The original study area for WES is in the El Dorado National Forest of the Sierra Nevada of Northern California. This multi-use forest sustains activities including logging, off-road vehicles, camping and fishing. Streams in this watershed empty into either the middle or south forks of the American River. All areas studied are between 5000 and 6500 feet above sea level in El Dorado County. |
